LeBron Raymone James Sr. Born on 30 December 1984 - is a professional American basketball player. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful basketball players ever and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has 4 NBA titles. Four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. Two Olympic gold medals. James had more points than any other player during the playoffs. He also has the second highest number of career points, and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. It is a NBA record for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. He was the 3rd player to participate in NBA Finals. Eight of those were consecutive from the year 2011 until 2018. In 2021 James was named to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player to ever in NBA history to rack up 10,000 or more career points rebounds and assists. James played basketball with St. Vincent St. Mary High School close to his hometown of Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped by the media. He was a prep-to pro and was selected as the highest pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft in 2003. After being named 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, he quickly became a top player in the NBA receiving the NBA's MVP award both in 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to take home the title in Cleveland in 2010, left as a free agent and joined the Miami Heat. This was made clear as part of The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions taken by a free agent in sports the history of sports.
